Max is either the most loving little boy, giving kisses and wanted to hold her or completely uninterested. He's never been mean and only showed a few bits of jealousy when Daddy had Mila. He would come and get me and ask me to hold her instead. :)
She was born 6#7.1oz and was 6#2oz when we left the hospital. 4 days later she was 6#7.5 oz. I have decided to breastfeed completely on her cues. I stopped recording feedings after she passed her birthweight and I have to say that I am so much less stressed this time around. I only count output and use my nursing sessions to stare at her beautiful face instead of worrying about how much milk she's getting (what I did with Max.) She wore newborn sized clothes for the first few weeks and was 10#9oz at her 1 month checkup! We cosleep either with Daddy and Max (crib sidecar, although she sleeps on the real bed, lol,) or on the couch so we don't wake Daddy and Max up or have to listen to Daddy's snoring. She wakes up once or twice each night to nurse and then snuggle back in and sleep.
I read in Dr. Sears Baby Book that he believes early smiles are not just gas, but a baby expressing their feeling of "rightness." I like to go right along with this belief because she smiles all the time. :) We use attachment parenting with Max, but I will say I allowed some other advice to creep in during his first year. It's something I regret and something I won't do with her. And I already feel our "oneness" (another term from Dr. Sears) and it's so special to me!
